Introduction.

Thu Tran portrait.jpg

Growing up in a remote mountainous province in the Northwest area of Vietnam, the female artist Thu Tran has been tirelessly engaged in painting with the natural passion for painting. Mountainous people, joys and sadness, mountains and forests are all the first living resources needed for the artist. She pursues the abstract expressionism style, with generous and strong drawing style and free expression of emotions.

With her artworks, she would like to express her most complete experiences ever, from personal life to social problems. Within loneliness and deadlock, a beautiful moment arises when the spring of life comes again. The abstract language which is strongly and comprehensively expressed on the silk brings soft and smooth feeling. The inner feelings appear with nonverbal language of passionate love.

‘My dream has brought me to this path, the forest gives me the inspiration to fulfill my dream. The difficulty in life is my motivation to find art as a home to my heart', said Thu when replying to the question of who or what inspired her works. Her silk paintings with abstract expressionism show her strong energy, pure love to art and painting desire.
